Bazarnik.pl in LIM Center: 10 years of shared history - interview with Ms. Iwona Jagielska of Bazarnik Ltd.

Bazarnik is a company with almost 100 years of tradition. Please briefly tell the history of the brand.

Next year we will celebrate a round and very impressive anniversary - 100 years. There are few business entities in Poland with such a long tradition.

Bazarnik is a family business founded in Warsaw in 1922 by Kazimierz Bazarnik, and developed in subsequent years by his son, Wojciech. We survived the Second World War, communism and the recent COVID and are a permanent, significant point on the map of Warsaw. Among our clients are the highest government offices and institutions, market-leading Polish and foreign companies, as well as representatives of the free professions.

We are among the best specialists in the sale of fountain pens, exclusive gifts and top quality personalized services.

We are pleased to inform you that we are the only stamping company to have twice received the European Gold Medal awarded by the Office of the Committee for European Integration and the BCC for services rendered at the highest European level. In the current year, which is not at all easy for all of us, we received the title of Entrepreneurship Leader 2021.

How long has Bazarnik been present in the LIM Center building?

For almost a decade. Most Varsovians may associate us with Nowy Świat Street at number 66, where the company's historic headquarters was located, along with a fountain pen showroom. Due to renovation of the tenement house at this address, we had to move to another place. The choice fell on LIM Center precisely. We were supposed to be here for a while, but we stayed for much longer.

What made you decide to stay at LIM Center?

First of all, because in the meantime the market and its surroundings have changed. Nowy Swiat has become more of a pedestrian zone and restaurant street than a shopping street, and the Internet and sales through this channel have increasingly come to the fore.

The key thing about LIM Center is its proximity to business. Both in the complex itself and in the immediate vicinity are located many companies and institutions that we serve. We are also often visited by Polish and foreign hotel guests, or patients and staff of Lux Med Medical Center located in the office building.

LIM at the same time provides exceptional convenience for our customers by being well connected and having a spacious parking lot. This is very important, because while we are strongly developing online sales through the store at www.bazarnik.pl, there are still a large number of our regular customers who cannot imagine shopping in any other form than the traditional one.

Fortunately, after the lifting of pandemic restrictions, we can again meet in person at our fountain pen showroom on level 0 of LIM Gallery.

Which types of fountain pens from your range do you find particularly interesting and why?

Without a doubt, these are limited editions, or the most distinctive collections of fountain pens, are aimed at exceptional people with refined tastes and interests. These are copies from the most renowned writing factories, which use symbols, shapes and ornaments to describe and commemorate historical events, life stories or incredible places on Earth. Each limited edition has an individual, unique number of the usually short production run. Such limited editions are sought after by collectors all over the world and are already an attractive capital investment in themselves, and their sentimental value is not insignificant either.

Specializing in the production of limits is the Montblanc brand, which this year released two special pens, one dedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte and one dedicated to the novel "Around the World in 80 Days" by Jules Verne. You can see them with us, touch them, take them in hand no less, and purchase them for your collector's collection.

What to look for when deciding to buy a fountain pen?

It is important that the fountain pen visually matches the owner, the work he does and his personality. In practice, it should hold well in the hand, but write even better. Believe me, writing with a pen is really pleasant and not at all that difficult, and it brings a lot of benefits: we focus more deeply on the text we are writing, on the appearance of the letters, we think longer about the importance of each word, and thus the message it carries. Writing with a pen adds prestige and self-confidence, and once we have mastered this art, we may find that we no longer want to return so often to quickly clicking on the keyboard.

Equally important is the filling system. Today's pens usually use solutions that allow the use of portable ink cartridges or filling the pen with ink from an inkwell. However, there are also models with a permanently built-in piston, which can be used to fill the pen without disassembling it.

Montblanc and Pelikan produce the most pens using this technology, which we also have available.

In addition to pens and unique stationery, what can be found in your offerings?

We are a leader in personalized services - business cards with special enhancements o relief printing, UV varnish, rounded corners, foiling. We produce name stamps, company stamps, date stamps with content, dry stamps as well as stamps with multicolor technology. The stamps we offer are the most durable Trodat brand products on the market, which we were the first to introduce to the Polish market. These are automatic machines that provide a guarantee of up to 400,000 housing impressions. Text plates made with modern laser technology are a guarantee of accurate and visible reflection, including small fonts and logo elements. Thanks to laser technology, it is also possible to protect important stamps using UV methods and to precisely reproduce a calligraphed signature and encapsulate it as a facsimile.

What is the future of the Bazarnik brand in the market and in LIM Center?

We have been in the market for almost 100 years. In our business, we use both years of experience and traditional merchant values, which, combined with modern production and sales techniques and a competent team of employees and professional customer service, build trust and customer satisfaction.

This is the capital that allows us to think about the future with optimism.

Of course, we will continue to develop online sales through our website, but we will not give up our stationary showroom either. As I mentioned, quite a number of our regular customers can't imagine shopping in any other form, which is completely understandable for an assortment so unique and exclusive.

In doing so, we have found an ideal business environment at LIM Center and believe that for years to come, this is where we will be able to meet our customers in person.
